1. What
do the words submission, obedience and honor mean
to you?
Submission means yielding under the rule, governing authority or power of another.
As written by the Apostle James, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Obedience means to do what you are instructed to do. According to the scripture,
1 Samuel 15:22, And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better
than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Honor is to show respect and regard for someone or something. In 1 Peter 2:17,
it is written, Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
2. Would you please describe the relationship
between suffering and perfection?
A person cannot get to perfection without suffering.
Suffering brings one into compliance with the will
of God. But only if that person accepts His will. Once
that person obeys the will of God, then they can move
towards perfection. You cannot get to perfection without
obedience. Read Hebrews 5:6-9 which illustrates the
suffering, obedience and perfection of Jesus Christ.
3. What instruction would you give to the
Body of Christ (the church) about faithfulness?
The Body of Christ will have to make a commitment
toward God because without faith it is impossible to
please him. Learn to be dedicated and committed to
the will and service of God regardless of what we may
suffer. To serve is to provide aid to someone. Service
is not the church service alone - the church service
is a gathering of people to praise and worship God.
When we leave the church building, we should take what
we learn and serve God by serving people. We need to
learn how to use what we learn to benefit others. If
we are not serving others, we are not serving God,
nor are we showing faithfulness to God's will.
4. If there were one improvement you would
like to see occur in the Body of Christ, what would
that be?
More love...More teaching, more understanding and
more demonstration of what it really means to have
true love. But as touching brotherly love ye need not
that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught
of God to love one another. 1Thessalonians 4:9
5. What are characteristics of a true minister
of God?
A man that will hold fast to the word of God, teach it and live by it. A true
minister is sent by God to preach the Word. He has been anointed by and ordained
of God to minister the Word of God.
